RTP Ledger checks the same 20 research areas for each casino. A record is ready for publication only when it meets the source, freshness, language, and independent-review rules.

The 20 evidence areas

RTP Ledger uses the same 20 research areas for every casino. The structure shows documented facts and open questions. Missing information does not create a pass, fail, or score.

Research tiers and current portfolio state

• Research record in progress uses all 20 areas and labels unsupported fields as unknown. It may enter search only when it has at least two researched areas and one dated source.
• Source-reviewed record meets the stricter structure and source requirements. Strict publication status still requires current material, archived sources, localization, and an independent review.
• Source and account-tested record also contains reviewed account, cashout, support, and product observations. Each observation needs a time and a retained file fingerprint.

Status: how complete is the source support?

• Documented means the linked, dated sources support the summary within its stated scope. It does not approve the casino as a whole.
• Partial evidence means sources support some material parts. Named conditions or questions remain open.
• Not checked means RTP Ledger has not published source-supported research for the area. The status does not report good or bad conduct.

Basis: what kind of evidence supports it?

• Published source means a regulator, operator or named independent source supports the recorded claim.
• Derived from cited inputs means a visible formula uses named source records. The page labels the result as a calculation.
• Dated source snapshot means RTP Ledger retained a point-in-time structured capture of published material.
• RTP Ledger first-party test is reserved for a test RTP Ledger actually performed and recorded. Reading an operator's terms is not a first-party test.
• Published + observed evidence combines published sources with a recorded RTP Ledger observation.
• RTP Ledger research status records a test gap, such as no completed cashout observation. The status is not test evidence.
• No evidence basis appears when an area is not checked. The page draws no conclusion for the area.

Scope: where the evidence applies

Every area names its scope. The scope can be a domain, legal entity, licence, public terms page, asset list, or logged-out account journey. A finding applies only to its named scope. Published withdrawal rules do not prove that RTP Ledger completed a cashout test.

Checked dates and stale evidence

The checked date shows when RTP Ledger last verified the cited material for one statement. The source can change after that date. Design and code releases do not update a check date. A newer source, changed term, or inaccessible page can make the record stale. The next material review either confirms the dated scope or changes the status to Partial evidence or Not checked.

Source access, archives and change history

A source check records whether a page was reachable, redirected, blocked, missing, or returned an error. Each material source needs a retained snapshot before a record can receive strict source-review publication status. RTP Ledger gives the snapshot an ID and a SHA-256 file fingerprint. The build recalculates the fingerprint from the retained file. A text value without a retained file does not satisfy this rule.

Each source-supported statement has a creation event. A correction adds the prior statement, date, reason, and accountable editor to its history. Human approval must name an active reviewer and the latest revision. A later material revision cancels the earlier approval.

Decision-impact order and commercial separation

The pre-deposit check names the first unresolved area in a fixed order. It links to the supporting statement and shows its scope, date, and source count. RTP Ledger checks licence, market access, withdrawals, identity checks, and cashout research before product or loyalty gaps. Partner-link availability is independent of search indexing and strict publication status. Every commercial link remains visibly disclosed and never changes evidence order, labels or claims.

Conflicting sources

RTP Ledger retains and cites each material source in a conflict. The record states what each source supports and uses Partial evidence until the conflict is resolved. The summary omits the disputed conclusion. The corrections policy controls corrections. The source policy controls source selection.

Retired legacy checklist

RTP Ledger retired its former 0–10 casino checklist. Public casino and comparison pages do not use it. The checklist is not a trust, safety, or user rating.

Editorial and commercial separation

Affiliate relationships do not change evidence status, summaries, or research gaps. RTP Ledger discloses commercial links under the affiliate disclosure. A commission cannot change missing information into a documented fact.

Limits

• A dossier is a transparent research record, not legal, financial or gambling advice.
• Operator and regulator information can change after the displayed checked date.
• Published rules do not prove how a rule will be applied to every account, market or transaction.
• An empty or not-checked area means insufficient published research, not evidence of good or bad conduct.
