Rakeback formula and examples per $1,000 wagered
Rakeback returns part of an amount defined in the promotion terms. Some operators use theoretical loss. Other operators use net loss, eligible wagers, or another base. Confirm the base before you calculate the reward.
Formula for theoretical-loss rakeback
The following formula applies only when the terms use theoretical loss:
theoretical loss = total wagered × house edge
rakeback = theoretical loss × rakeback rate
A $1,000 wager total at a 1% house edge has a $10 theoretical loss. A 5% rakeback rate returns $0.50 under this model.
Examples per $1,000 wagered
The table uses hypothetical house edges and a 5% rakeback rate. It shows long-run arithmetic. The calculation does not predict the result of one session or confirm any operator terms.

A larger reward can result from a larger house edge. Apply both percentages before you compare games. At a 5% rakeback rate, a 4% edge becomes a 3.8% net theoretical cost.

- The games and bet types that qualify.

Compare rakeback with a deposit bonus
A deposit bonus can require a large wager total. For example, a 35x requirement on a $1,000 bonus creates $35,000 of turnover. A 4% house edge gives a $1,400 theoretical loss on that turnover.
